  • Lughnasadh Lammas Sabbat Aromatherapy Gift Set - Wicked Spiced Green Apple Scent

    $60.00Price

Celebrate the first harvest with our wickedly magical 'Lammas - Lughnasadh - Aromatherapy Gift Set' inspired by the neo-pagan and witches' sabbat Lughnasadh. Each of our sabbat-inspired giftsets are appropriately themed to help you transition through our planet's seasonal changes with a touch of dark aesthetic whimsy. We provide you with a multifaceted aromatherapy experience so you can appreciate this transitionary time with joy and thanksgiving for the bountiful blessing of the first harvest as the summer months transition into fall giving way to the colder months ahead.

'Wicked Spiced Green Apple' is a nod to the first harvest and our version of 'Wicked Green Apple' where spiced green apples took a ride on a broom-stick straight into a field of violets, jasmine & roses magically marrying summer to fall. We believe that sometimes wicked doesn't mean evil, it means wonderful, and this scent is wonderfully reminiscent of your first apple-picking exertion whilst frolicking through fields of summertime blossoms.

Celebrating the end of the summer growth period, and the beginning of the autumn harvest, Lammas, or Lughnasadh for some, lands on the 1st and 2nd of August and is the first of the three harvest sabbats. Celebrate Lugh, the Celtic sun God for which this sabbat is named after, as August 1st marks Lugh's victory over the spirits of Tír na nÓg. In celebration of his victory, and memory of his foster mother Tailtiu, Lugh blessed the early fruits of the harvest by transferring his power to the grain and hosted a variety of celebratory games. This transfer of power to the grain signifies Lugh's decline in power and marks the harvest reaping. So reap the rewards of the abundant harvest he's blessed us with while he still reigns high in the sky, and bake a loaf or two, or twenty of hearty grain bread to honor his return to the land later to be reborn after winter's end.

Each element of this mix has been carefully selected and thoughtfully combined in darker tones to suit your dark aesthetic home decor while paying homage to Lugh and the first harvest. The chosen colors and botanicals remind us of the bountiful cornucopia Lugh has blessed us with, from juicy fruits to hearty grains, while the mushrooms and autumnal shades are a nod of respect to the coming autumnal equinox. The selected scent is meant to encourage baking and bring joy and vigor back into your being so you can enjoy the festivities whilst preparing for autumn. The accompanying skull diffuser is designed to complement your potpourri and is adorned with our signature gold crescent moon charm, a golden raven skull with a blossom, and a purple titanium-coated quartz. It can be hung in your car or any space where you need a bit of a scent pick-me-up.

To make displaying your potpourri a creative experience, and set the 'mood' of your living space into a witchy goth wonderland, you will receive add-ins that are appropriately themed for this sabbat with a few gothic touches that embody our brand.

To pay respect to this sabbat and Lugh, we chose the symbol of the raven and its claw representing heroism, sacrifice, and the cyclical nature of life and death. During the battle of Cath Maige Tuired Lugh's father, Cian died at the hands of the sons of Tuireann. For revenge and compensation, Lugh demanded these sons retrieve the skin of a magical raven for it was believed it could heal and rebirth his father anew. We also chose the scythe, dried flowers with 'stalks of grains', red and brown ribbons, a pumpkin, and acorns. Tiger's eye and moss agate crystals were chosen as conduits for energy work. Tiger's eye is often associated with Lugh due to its multifaceted warm, golden tones reminiscent of the sun and grain crops, which is thought to increase and cultivate courage, passion, and physical strength to aid in transitioning into the colder months. Moss agate with its darker, wiser shades of green reminiscent of the later growth of the Oak Tree, a sacred tree to Lugh, is thought to aid in spiritual growth and our connection with nature for it's known as a stone of abundance dubbed the "gardener's gemstone", encouraging us to embrace our "green thumb".

    ORDERING INFO:

Foremost, if you would prefer a different scent than what is chosen for this respective sabbat, please review our scent list below and note your scent preference in the box provided.

Since each gift set is made-to-order, please allow 3-5 days MAX for your order to ship. We let the potpourri sit in a glass jar so it fully absorbs the scent so by the time you receive your order the scent has matured. Each diffuser is made-to-order, so while the design will be the same, the size and shape of the wire-wrapped crystal may differ slightly.

    What's in your gift set:

    1) Potpourri sachet weighing 4.5-6oz. or a minimum of 3.75 cups with 5-7 sabbat and witchy goth-themed add-ins and a selenite blade, PLUS 1 of 2 different styles of a dried bouquet.

*We weigh our potpourri in cups as we feel that is a better way to visualize how much you will receive as some botanicals are very large but weigh little and vice versa. We provide you with your money's worth but without crushing your potpourri.

    • ~*~ Potpourri Care Instructions ~*~

To ensure a long-lasting scent, store the potpourri in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight. To use simply place your sabbat potpourri mix in a decorative vessel atop your mantel or altar, or wherever people tend to congregate in your home to serve as a unique decorative and conversation piece. Add your personal touch by arranging the themed add-ins and/or incorporating items of your own. You may notice powder as you do this--this is orris root, a natural fixative that 'grabs' onto the lovely scent so your potpourri has a long fragrant shelf life.

Use the matching skull-shaped refresher oil to freshen up your potpourri or refill your skull-shaped diffuser. Deposit small amounts of oil on the hardest botanicals such as the cacao shells and fruits, pods, etc., and shake or stir the mix to get the orris root dispersed with the fresh oils. Please note, the oils may damage or stain your clothes and any objects they come into contact with, so please let the oil soak into the botanicals before placing any decorative pieces on top and use a vessel that is oil-safe such as glass, or finished wood.

      ~*~ Diffuser Care Instructions ~*~

To use our diffusers simply remove the wooden cap and plastic stopper, then place the wooden cap back on securely. Invert the diffuser for 2 seconds. Put the plastic stopper in and secure the wooden cap over the top of it as it came to you. This prevents your delicious fragrance oil from evaporating. Freshen the wooden cap as needed. Please note that while most of our fragrances and/or essential oils are skin-safe, some are not. Please wash your hands if you get any on you and wipe up any spilled oil immediately. When refilling your diffuser, gently remove the plastic cap and fill to the top of the skull's head leaving the spout empty so the plastic cap can securely fit back in. This will prevent leaking.

Please note that some add-ins/decorative pieces/charms may have sterling silver components and will require occasional polishing as sterling silver naturally oxidizes. Use a soft cloth similar to a cheesecloth that has some texture but is still super soft and gently rub the surface.
